Electrical
engineers design our modern world, but electronics technicians keep it
going. You find electronics technicians in every industry where
electronic equipment is used, including aviation, health,
transportation, communication, hospitality, government, manufacturing
and many more.
Today, the last generation of technicians is retiring faster than the next is being trained to replace them. ETA International reports that there is a critical shortage of electronics technicians. Universities educate electrical engineers but do not usually train technicians for electronics service and repair. Many private vocational schools are closing, and community colleges have curtailed or eliminated their electronics technology programs After completing this course you will be well-positioned to attempt the General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) exam or an Associate Certified Electronics Technician (CETa and CET) exams from ETA International.
